Brook Mahoney, Founder, Chief Executive Officer
Brook Mahoney, CPCU, CIC, ARM - Founder and CEO


Brook is the founder of Cherry Creek Insurance Group. He built this company with the mission of serving clients with a team of professionals that remain closely connected to the client from the point of sale and throughout the service process. Founded in 1986, CCIG remains true to the strategy of putting the client relationship first.

Brook is an Iowa native with a BA in insurance and marketing from the University of Iowa. He has served as president of the insurance industry’s state association and on industry panels for a number of regional and national insurance companies.

Outside the office, Brook is an avid golfer and a passionate hiker. He loves to explore and camp in the Colorado outdoors with family and friends. His trips around the state include stops at the summits of 50 of Colorado’s 54 fourteeners.

Scott Kennedy
T. Scott Kennedy, CRM & CIC - President


Scott, a native of Virginia, graduated from Mesa State College and has earned his Certified Insurance Counselor and Certified Risk Manager designations. Scott also attended the Center for Creative Leadership to further develop his acumen in organizational leadership and is a member of the local Risk and Insurance Management Society of Colorado.
 
With 25 years of industry experience, Scott’s leadership in team building, marketing, underwriting, risk management, and sales offers clients a wealth of knowledge from the carrier and retail side of the business.

An outdoor enthusiast, like many of his colleagues at Cherry Creek Insurance Group, Scott enjoys skiing, golfing, sailing, fishing, hunting, cycling, camping and most anything that leads him into the majestic mountains of Colorado.  

Carolyn Evans
Carolyn Evans, CIC - Vice President, Client Service Manager


Carolyn Evans’ responsibilities include the management of the Client Service Team members, fostering agency and insurance company relationships, and coordinating team performance to insure that all CCIG clients receive the professional level of service they expect and deserve.
   
Carolyn has more than 25 years commercial insurance experience with specialization in the management of operations at both the carrier and broker level. She has worked with the Colorado Division of Insurance as an Insurance Analyst and Hearing Officer, as well as Client Service Management positions with major insurance companies and brokers.

 After attending Colorado State University, Carolyn earned her Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation and is currently pursuing the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.
